§ 2-5. Same—When bids required; advertising for bids.

  • No purchases of any supplies, equipment, merchandise or property of any kind whatsoever exceeding the cost of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) shall be made by the city without being budgeted or without first advertising the purchase for ten (10) days and receiving bids on such purchases by the city from not less than three (3) separate and distinct suppliers or sellers. The advertisement of the request for bids shall be published by posting notice thereof on the bulletin board at the city hall and on the bulletin board at the county courthouse and published not less than one (1) time in the legal gazette of Pulaski County, Georgia. State contract items can be purchased without going through the bid process.
